There were SO many things about this little country wedding that I would choose to put in my own if my husband and I were to, say, renew our vows on our 10th anniversary *couch*hubby*cough*…..or something. I loved the mismatched chairs and the hay bails and the old quilts and the real cotton on branches and the huge lanterns and the plaid and….you get the idea. *Sigh* I would love to have a real wedding some day, the way I envision it. (Those of you who don’t already know, we were married in Vegas!)
I met Kasey while I lived in Germany. We worked at the Enlisted Club together. We became good friends and discovered we were both from Arkansas! Then I met my husband-to-be (not through Kasey) and discovered he lived in the flat above her! This crazy small world. When she invited me to the wedding, I asked if they were going to have a photographer. She said no. So I asked if she would mind if I could shoot some pics (since I’m not a wedding photographer, but I still LOVE wedding photography). This is the only wedding that I know of that was so laid back they even waited for the Razorback game to finish before getting on with the wedding. But it gave me the opportunity to snap some shots of the kids playing in the beautiful setting sun.
